COVID-19: Scientists and decision-makers trained on preventive measures

Elibariki Mwakapeje, Afrique One-ASPIRE post-doc and employee of the Ministry of Health organized a workshop on COVID-19 for rapid response teams using a One Health approach in Dodoma, Tanzania. Scientists and decision-makers have been trained on preventive measures against COVID-19 and certificates of participation were awarded to them at the end of  training.
This ceremony recorded the presence of Prof. Rudovick Kazwala and Dr Coletha Mathew, both members of the Afrique One consortium. The Director of Veterinary Services was the guest of honor to honor the closing ceremony.

Note that noted that COVID-19 has affected more than 160 countries around the world. Tanzania is not immune to this outbreak. The pandemic has been reported in three regions and more than 530 contacts are being followed up, 20 confirmed cases and one death due to this epidemic. This is a reason to mount various activities of preparation and effective response to this threat to public health.
