Site visit AESA/AAS at CSRS
From the 10th to the 14th of April 2017, two representatives of the African Academy of Sciences/Alliance for Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa (AAS/AESA) will visit the Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques en Côte d’Ivoire (CSRS), the budget holder of the research consortium Afrique One-African Science Partnership for Intervention Research Excellence (ASPIRE).
This site visit will be an occasion for AESA to know more about Afrique One-ASPIRE achievements and contributions to the development of CSRS. The agenda of the site visit AESA/AAS at CSRS is made up by a presentation about Afrique One-ASPIRE (governance and programme management, recent recruitment, monitoring & evaluation and outcomes), discussions and a site visit at the Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) in Taabo and the research station of Bringakro.
Afrique One-ASPIRE is one of the eleven grantees of the DELTAS Africa initiative, an independent funding scheme of AESA/AAS supported by the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) with funding from the Wellcome Trust and the UK government.
