Brian Perry is an international development scientist and epidemiologist with 45 years of professional experience. He is Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh, and Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford. He chairs the Scientific Advisory Board of Afrique One, and leads global, regional and national independent evaluations of public funding investments in agricultural development and health. He specialises in the impacts of livestock in sustainable development.

Eric Fèvre is Professor of Veterinary Infectious Diseases at the Institute of Infection and Global Health (IGH), University of Liverpool and currently jointly based at the International Livestock Research Institute, Nairobi, Kenya.  He leads a team of epidemiologists, biologists, veterinarians and medical practitioners interested in the biology and control of (re-)emerging diseases, particularly zoonoses.

Dr Abraham Aseffa is the Research and Innovation Director of the Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) in Ethiopia. (MD,1984 AAU; Dr. med, 1990, Uni Leipzig). He taught Microbiology at Gondar College of Medical Sciences (Ethiopia) until 1998 when he joined the WHO IRTC (Uni Lausanne) for postdoctoral research. He joined AHRI in 2001 as senior scientist and is engaged in infectious disease research and postgraduate student supervision since.
