The project ‘Treat early and broad: thermotherapy of Buruli ulcer integrated into WHO-reommended wound management in West Africa’ will be carried out over a period of 3 years (2018-2021) in Taabo (Côte d’Ivoire) by the Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientifiques en Côte d’Ivoire (CSRS) in collaboration with the Swiss Tropical Institute of Public Health (Swiss TPH) and Heidelberg University Hospital (Germany) aims to contribute to a better understanding of the clinical epidemiology of wounds and healing and improve their management in health centers.

The project implements an innovative heat therapy combined with heat packs and wound management recommended by World Health Organization (WHO).
