35 people secondary school graduates to become community rabies vaccinator in Tanzania.

In collaboration with Ifakara Health Institute, Ahmed luego and Kennedy Lushasi Afrique One-ASPIRE Phd haves inities community rabies vaccinators training workshop. 35 people (5 females + 30 males) secondary school graduates to become community rabies vaccinator. Representatives from the Ministry of Livestock and the Veterinary Service Directorate also attended this training. They used materials (3 courses) provided by Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC).

This session who, was held on 28 november within Mugumu Serengeti at the Serengeti District Council Meeting Hall. Two objectives: (i) learn African experience on Rabies Elimination and (ii) generate man power to combat rabies at the community level. Mostly be part of network on rabies control which will be helpfull to access data.The workshop involves training and assessment. At the end of this training, participants will each receive rabies Educator Certificate, Animal Handling and Vaccination Certificate then Community Coordinator for Rabies Certificate.
